An architecture locates in peaceful country landscape in a small urban area in Iwate. A residence and a ceramic art studio are designed as separate buildings. The arrangement of the building and the landscape design was intended in order to keep the harmony with surrounding environment, existing geographical features, warehouse, and vegetation. On the design process, careful consideration was given in connecting the living area and the garden so that a life in northern country would be rich and comfortable. Also large windows provide a large open space while keeping the thermal efficiency.
